GIRLS HOCKEY DIRECTOR

ASHLEY KOLTENBACK

Ashley played youth hockey starting at Bucks County Ice Sports (previously known as Faceoff Circle) for the Glaciers Girls Travel Team in the DVHL. Excelling quickly in the sport, she transitioned to the Atlantic District Hockey League for the Princeton Tigerlilies in 2001 and then moving onto the Delco Phantoms her senior year of high school to participate in the National Championship, placing 3rd overall in 2003. Ashley was also the only female to play for Central Bucks High School West in Doylestown and also participated in non-league games at the Junior C and B Men’s Level for the Patriots Hockey Team at Exton, PA. Ashley then moved on to play Division III at New England College in the ECAC East, helping her team reach the playoffs for the first time in the organization’s history, as well as third in points her freshman year.

Ashley had moved onto play Women’s A Adult Hockey for the Lady Patriots from 2014-2016 as the Assistant Captain and reaching the championship and winning each year she played. When her playing career came to an end, she decided to relocate to York and become a coach, which was her dream to do after playing. Ashley was the Head Coach for the Lancaster Reapers Women’s C/D level hockey team in 2017-18, then decided it was time to explore working with youth hockey. Ashley then joined the York Lady Devils and Mason Dixon Selects Girls Hockey in 2018-2020 as an assistant coach, winning two championships during those seasons, as well as multiple tournament participations and placing in 1st or 2nd place, no lower. Since then she has been an addiction and mental health therapist for the past several years in York as well as a group fitness and strength & conditioning coach for a local gym, but has decided that hockey is her dream to follow.

Ashley currently resides in York with her border collie Jazz, is a 2008 New England College graduate with a bachelor’s degree in psychology as well as multiple certifications in the field. She is a guitarist/vocalist in her free time and also is an artist. Ashley is very excited to rejoin the York Hockey Organization in a bigger role so she can assist in developing young players and recruiting to grow the youth organization!
