Bio: I’m the current Hockey Director for York Ice Arena and the York Devils Ice Hockey club. I’ve coached the 14U, 16U and 18U AA teams over the past 3 seasons for the York Devils. I’ve also played for various AA and AAA organizations and showcase teams during my time in youth hockey, and played D3 for California University of Pennsylvania. Specialities: Skills/Hockey IQ development, positional and situational concepts, Owner/Instructor of Today’s Defenseman Hockey Camp.

Claudia Black
I am originally from Toronto, Ontario, but have resided in Central Pennsylvania for the past few years. I started playing hockey from a young age, growing up - spent lots of time out on frozen lake in the winter with my triplet sister. Additionally, she had a fantastic hockey career herself as a starting goalie for Union College and the University of Vermont women's ice hockey teams from 2016-2019. We both immediately became invested with hockey and possessed a great love for the game right away. I knew it was my passion. Most recently in my hockey career, I continued my passion for the sport as an assistant coach of the women's ice hockey team at Lebanon Valley College from 2021-2023. Prior to my coaching career, I spent three seasons playing Division I ice hockey at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). I was able to accelerate my undergraduate degree at RIT into 3 years, which allowed me to graduate early and play my final year of Div I eligibility at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and receive my MBA. Presently, I currently work in a management position within the pharmaceutical consulting space and will be completing my third and final semester as an Adjunct Instructor at Lebanon Valley College in the First Year Experience Department. Jon Benchich
Bio: Jon Benchich has been part of the York Ice Arena since we can remember. Jon played and coaches several players who have graduated from the Devils Program. He is currently our Director of our Learn To Play instructor. His expertise in the recruiting process of college hockey has helped several players move forward into the college game. He has also served as a Regional Scout for Prep Hockey Advisors. Jon is currently an Assistant Coach for NCAA Division 3 Lebanon Valley College. Specialities: Hockey Skills, Hockey Technical Skating Certifications: USA Hockey, NCAA College Coach
