The Aspire Program
For skaters in Basic 4 or above. Helps transition between affordable group lessons and more expensive private lessons.Teaches good practice habits on and off the ice. Will include on and off ice practice schedules. Introduces skaters to moves in the field, edge classes, program components, choreography, beginner spins, beginner jumps and other skating disciplines. Gives skaters the opportunity to learn from a variety of our senior coaches. Provides parental involvement and education of the figure skating world.
HOLIDAY SHOW
Sunday, December 8 : 6-8 pm in Rink 2.
--$35 per solo--skaters must have an approved axel to do a solo. (Exceptions are Adult Skaters and Seniors)
--$15 per person--duet or trio NEW this year, skaters who will have the option to do ONE duet or trio in addition to their solo if they wish.
--If lower-level skaters who do not have their axel wish to participate in more than one number, they are encouraged to sign up for the ASPIRE program--the ASPIRE skaters will be doing a small group number in the show. Depending on number of skaters and variance in levels, this will delegate how many numbers there are.
--Admission will be $10 per person OR a donation of 5 canned food goods (per person) for the York Food Bank.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS November 15, 2024. Please email music to cbowen@yorkskate.com by this date. Registration must be paid first, then music is a first come, first serve basis after graduating seniors.
